The first of many

apocalyptic dreams are frequent occurrences for me. i don’t share them with anyone. the following is the first of many. they each paint a different picture. i am not quite sure how to reconcile them. it would help if i knew someone out there was having them too.

-  the spaces between the future  -

i am sitting in my living room, reading a book. the sky is overcast. i finally notice a siren sound and i hear people talking. i look out the window and people are in the street. some are standing, not sure what is happening. others are on the move. something inside me says “this is it” and i get up. i change into something comfortable and head to the door. after a moment i think “don’t forget your health card” and i run back to grab it. i step out.

i am walking down the street quickly, among many others. i look to the sky for some sign of anything. the sky is still overcast. i follow the crowds until we reach a large warehouse. i join a line up. in front of me is my father. we don’t say anything. the line moves as i still look around for something. there are people dressed in uniforms guiding us. the line keeps moving, but some people are being turned away. they don’t have their health card.

we finally get to the top of the line. there is a metal detector and people in uniform, much like a airport security. a woman checks my dad’s health card. they let him through. i’m next. i’m nervous as hell. they let me through. a woman directs me to a large hall with many doors, each down a small flight of steps. above each is a large screen monitor.

as we move into the hall, names appear over the doors, directing us to where we should go. my name pops up and says “red” but i barely catch it. a woman in uniform starts to guide me to a green door, telling me to keep moving. my dad enters the red door. i start to move toward the red door but she comes over to me. she tells me i am going in the wrong door. i try to tell her that my name said red, but she denies it. finally my dad comes back and takes me and tells her i am in the red door.

we end up in front of a huge computer. names are running up the screen. i quickly take to the keyboard and start searching the names of my family. my dad’s comes up. my brother’s doesn’t. my mother’s doesn’t. my aunt’s does. my dad motions for me to join him. he points to another console. i start to read.

then something clicks in my head. everything starts adding up. i realize we are on a spaceship, one getting ready to launch. the end has come and the survivors are heading to space. but it’s more insidious than that. the health cards were programmed to only allow certain people access to the ships. the people in uniform disguised the whole operation as a test, but it wasn’t. i couldn’t figure out why i was chosen.

I’ve never had them in a plot such as this. Mine have always been either right before it happens with people gathering together to fight, or after it happens and I’m leading people/saving survivors.

Theres been a few symbols or creatures I’ve witnessed in more than one dream.

First, the symbole of a crecent moon, facing down and to the left with a cross from one point almost touching the next with the main beam.

Second, a 1-2 foot human looking demon, this was a when it first started happening.

Third, and most prominant, is a humanoid scorpion.
it had the body of a scorpion, tail, no claw pinchers. From where its head would be comes the torso of a human. Its left arm on the shoulder, was what looked to be a shield, same color as it looking to be part of it. Its right arm came to a point like a sword.
