God and Satan are one

I think that God and Satan are one, God has multiple personality and that is why they are never in dirrect conflict. ! So I say we have to kill them !! Well thats my point of view.

You are very right about this one sir. The Taoists (as well most Eastern religions) believe in the yin and yang. Both sides of the same coin, that ultimately are different faces of one universal force. However, to look at these two sides as good/evil, right/wrong is only an interpretation of the ego. The true nature of reality is without the drama and characteristics that humans assign to it. For example, one might look at birth and think “beautiful!”, while veiwing death as bad or negative. These views are subjective, because both birth and death are natural processes of construction and deconstruction…different sides of the whole. We humans however associate deconstruction with bad things and consider it evil. Evil is really dramatized deconstruction. So, to comment on your comment, God and Satan ARE the same, just flip from eachother, but the whole thing (which is really only one thing that consists of two sub-parts) is what westerners refer to as GOD.

  2. Matt Says:

I disagree with Job. God is Holy and pure, therefore, no evil can exist with in Him. And everyone knows that satan is evil or “bad”. His name alone means “advisary”.(sorry about the spelling. Its really late over here.) If they were one, God and Satan, then it wouldnt make any sense what-so-ever, Because God is for us and satan is against us. See what I mean?

Check out Zoroastrianism and Gnosticism. You’ll find some parallels. And read some of Philip K. Dick’s later stuff like VALIS (You might know him as the dude who wrote the books that inspired the movies Total Recall, Blade Runner, and Minority Report).

Job is right ! refer these verses in the bible their story is identical but who is the provoker ?

    2 sam 24 : 1 - 25
    1 chron 21 : 1 - 30

  6. Amy Says:

It would be impossible for God and Satan to be the same thing. First of all Satan was an angel. He tried to appose God and take over the universe but his plan didn’t work and God cast Satan and his angels into the pit of fire (Hell). God does seem to have multiple personalities though: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (3 parts of ONE God, not 3 seperate gods). I don’t see how you could say they’re never in ‘direct conflict’. The whole Bible has conflicts between God and Satan. I’ll have to get back to you on the 1 Chronicles/2 Samuels thing. I know my youth pastor had a sermon about something close to that, I just can’t remember the exact thing right now and I don’t want to try to explain it until I have a reasonalbe understanding of it.

  7. 2Curious Says:

Bishop4 and Jeff, although you discribe a philosophy, Gnosticism. It’s not the only philosophy. To understand the Bible better, think in terms of evil is the absence of good, as darkness is the absence of light. If you think about it light and dark are not two sides of the same coin. Likewise good and evil are not two sides of the same coin.

Minti, punishing the wicked does not make God evil. I wish you would have explained your point of view.

Job, you should read your name-sakes book. He too thought he understood, but found he was wrong.

  8. One Says:

Hello, I have read the comments above. GOD and satan are and will never be one. They, I think, are in direct conflict only in the fact that, as mentioned above, GOD is for us satan is against us. They aren’t in conflict as much with each other because satan knows he can’t defeat GOD, also GOD allows EVERYTHING to happen. Even satan’s existence is in the hands of GOD. GOD is 3; Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. ” Man shall not live by bread alone, but by the words of GOD.” Any one know that verse. satan is tempting Jesus, if GOD and satan were one and Jesus is the Human form of GOD, why would He tempt Himself? Think about it. Thank You

just a thought,, (what if) jus what if god and satan and every belief based around them turned out not to be real at all.. everything from the time of god’s so called existence turned out to be all fake.. and by this.. i mean ..what if some how or some way in some what the world was informed that there is no god, no story behind jesus’s life on earth to die for us and all our sins., such and such..(basically all made up) then basically our world would be shattered right.?.. i mean people would be saying yea theres a god and jesus was true i mean look at the wriitngs.., i know it by the scriptures, but just what if it all wasnt. is there really honosty i nthose writings.. is the vatican holding out on info they dont want the world to know that heyve found thatll mess up the whole bible’s perception of life.. and you would be the one to say everything about god is true, because its what eveytrhing says so but then you would be basically believeing in your faith in godand everyones faith in god…. right.?.. so does faith neccesarily count truth for truth.. or is it just a “HUGE HOPE” in everything.. like we Hope theres a god because thats what we ve been tought for ever…and how can earth be made and the universe be made without one.. !> hm.. i hope yall get what im trying to explain.. just a thought i was thinking bout.. thought id share with yall..

It was very nice to see that even though you each have differing opinions, you each have been very respectful of each other. You all seem to be very intellegent as well. I think that Jesus and Satan are two seperate entities, but that they represent the right and left hand of God. One carries out his dirty work, and the other one patches up the left overs and does good. They are both Gods helpers and represent distinct parts of His personality.

If God is creator of all that means he created evil or Satan. If he created it it was a part of him and he loves him as much as his good side. We are here to experience all experiences and never stagnate in one area because it defies evolution. As long as we use God as a guide we will realize that all is good and acceptable in his majestic eyes. Heaven will be the opposite of what we expect.

  12. Psychotic-X-Dementia Says:

Hmm, I came upon this searching google. I’m not one for religion, nor nessecarily defending or objecting any of the various among us. But, I do see a point as to why some would say that God and Lucifer are one in the same, and also that they are not. It is true that there may be things that are being hidden from us, as well as the fact that maybe it’s all a story, or maybe even a strange or early form of law. Who knows. I am open to all ideas. If you are interested in reading a few segments of someone’s view i thought to be quite interesting, go to http://www.wyrde.com/about/atheist.html

Do not let the word ‘atheist’ deeter you from reading it. It has a very thorough view on the topic at hand. Although the person that wrote this seems to be a little on the crude side about a few mentionings, as well as being a bit harsh at times, (as i can understand from a few experiences of my own) he does serve a few, if not many, deserving-of-attention points. Perhaps not to everyone’s view, and not that all will believe, but I found it a good insight to be thought up all by one person, as well as heavily researched. If you read the whole thing, it’s a good 4 hours read or more. Im sorry im not exactly expressing much of my own view here, but like I said, Im open to all ideas and do not direspects others views… so long as no one uses force. Besides, my deep down beliefs are hard to organize into words and yet to be entirely found. And it would probably take longer to read mine, than it would to read the document I have recommended. :) I hope this has helped.

I think some people may be confused at the theory.
I believe that “God” and “Satan” are one and the same, and that they are not people just forces. I use quotation marks because the names are just a loose definition.
My theory is that the Universe needs to be in perfect harmony of both good/evil and light/dark.
Now for all intensive purposes I will use the word “God” but dont read into it too much.
Think of it this way “God” created everything. Everything consists of opposing extremes (good/evil) all in perfect balance. Therefore the universe is essentially “God”. We all work in perfect harmony. There cant be a truely good man on earth without there being a truly evil one somewhere out there as well.
You see you cant experience one thing without another. For example if I put my hand under boiling water, how do I know if its hot if I have never experienced cold water. How can you know what hate is, if you have never experienced love. How can god be all loving, without knowing the flipside, this is the argument that God is represented as both a ‘force’ consisting of both great good and great evil, which over time hs been personified into God and Satan
There is no one “God” we are all “God” as a collective. Humans have the ability to create and to destroy. To give life and to take it.
And as we become increasingly technologically and intellectually smarter, we venture forth into space and push new frontiers, which even 100 years ago would have been un-imaginable.
As each evolutionary process occurs we will increasingly challenge both our mental and physical frontiers until we will reach the point of total enlightenment and realise that we are infact “God” and have infact had constructive and destructive forces of a universal scale locked up in our quite primitive and under utilised brains the whole time.

For you all to have such strong opinions on this topic that God couldnt be evil, i persume you have strong faith.I have read the bible and the quran, and in each they refer to God as gracious and mercyful. If he was how could he let a grown man rape a innocent defencelss child or people commit mass murder and slaughter innocent people for example september 11th sometimes its hard to think its just fate. What i am trying to say either god has an evil side or he doesnt care or he doesnt exist thats for you to choose think about it.
