Oh and do not fear the end of the world :) we all die sometime. If there is a mass extinction, just believe it will be in the cause of a better fore-coming. Like the dinosaurs paving the way for human existance. Id say the horrors are simply strong signs. Take your mind off the apocalyptic view and focus on the major signs in the dream, we speak in metaphor when we dream, not often is it quite litteral.. which is a bitch because you'd wish something or someone would just pop out and say "YO! this this this and this are wrong right now fix it ya bum" but no. It provokes the deeper thoughts within you so you can contemplate and find wisdom. And sometimes, some things are too complicated to use words for, ya know? just dont judge these dreams as apocalyptic is all. Theres something wrong with you're circle of friends obviously, pay more attention to you're family perhaps?

Wow that's a pretty frosty story you have there! 9 years... wow i feel for you girl. I would suggest maybe seeing a psychic. Someone who you feel you can trust, and you can tell who the good psychics are. Have a private session, don't go to one at the shops or on the street, be in her house where her energies are best and the reading can be thorough and accurate. Before you speak with her, like on the phone say: "Be sure you have spirit with you when i come, because i need guidance". If shes good she'll know what you mean, if she gives you a huh? or wah? then dont bother. It might be against you're beliefs but if you see a genuine psychic (a channeler) who actually calls in spirits and can usually hear/see them.. Not a tarot card reader because most of them dont know what their doing..(it does work though but takes experience)... I wish i could personally give you some help because its not nice to have a recurring dream like that i can imagine.... Wow just now i read your update. It seems that the dream has been telling you of the path that you're following through you're friends and the bad habits you are picking up from them! durrr. I believe the drawers you're friends are ripping through is the metaphor that you're dream is using to tell you that they are too involved with the material insignificance of life. Think about it. The world is ending and all they can worry about is their unsorted socks. They do not care for morals or things that have no material value, am i right? if so, id say change you're circle of friends, you're boyfriend... some relationship(s) that you've had since highschool, and you'll know the ones... And the dreams might go away? keep me posted id love to hear what you think. My name is Calvin by the way i live in Australia.

I've had dreams very similar to this, which i must admit i did find very chilling as i read your description.

Though there are a couple of key differences, i've had far too many 'apocalypse dreams' to count. Some involve diseased zombie like creatures but all involve distruction on a massive scale from the sky much as you described. But in all my dreams instead of running or crying i always seem to end up fighting whatever it is that's attacking me, in one i was prsent during an invasion by another country in which nuclear bombs fell and i remember taking up a gun to protect my family. In dreams with Zombies i seem to end up carrying a weapon and helping to fight them off.
