The apocalypse has already begun, and many are already in hell. This generation has adopted grunge, or detachment, as further anaesthetic to the continual Catch-22’s around them.
Vietnam shook trust, faith and the nature of war has changed completely, so another one can’t be contemplated.
If we knew the world was to end tomorrow, people’s basic human nature would come to the fore, everyone would find out who they were - because it was too late. Some of the certainties:
Some would join hands, fuck themselves silly, laugh and breathe properly
Others would take vengeance
Others would do the usual pillage & rape
And some would take the time to prepare themselves, regardless of anything to come, take stock and look forward to the next step.
What else can you do?
