I believe that the people of this world.. whether by their own design.. or by the divine will of God are all due for a cataclysm. I say this because we are decadent.. and getting worse by the minute.. Society is on the ‘rocket sled to hell’ to use a coined phrase. We definitely have it coming.

I think that the Apocalypse will start with a large loss in the population.. be it through disease.. nuclear war.. or an act of God… about 85-90% of the population needs to die.. this will throw our world into chaos… no one person is completely self sufficient. We have become dependent on each other.. We are builders. When this mass culling happens however mankind will change to another type of animal.. the consumer. That is after all what we are trained to do.. the farmers create something to eat.. however the factory workers exchange their time for money on a pay clock to produce things which make the farmers job easier… The farmer can survive without the worker.. but his chores will be much more difficult.. However the opposite isn’t true.. The Worker needs the farmer.. the worker has no idea how to feed himself.. he only knows that he gets paid a certain amount to do a certain job. This is our weakness. We all have become the worker.

If the first casualty in the apocalypse is our humanity.. the second will be our technology. We will once again be in the dark ages.. new advancements will cease and we will be forced to fight for the technology we currently have. Indeed, knowledge to man the power stations will be essential. The knowledge to heal.. to build.. to maintain. These will be commodities instead of wheat.. grain.. gold. However, to know.. to understand the machines that once made life so easy and care free; that is important. Info will become money.. and knowledge.. power (even more so than now). We will be faced with the problem.. how will the techs protect themselves from the savages? and how will the savages get the goods from the techs without completely killing them? It is a puzzle.

This all leads me to believe that in the end times.. there will be another great war.. one of morals.. one where human values will be evaluated.. and refined. Perhaps it will be divine but I think people will realize that balance was lost. I quote Nostradomas ‘In the end times.. man himself will become a man eater’. Yes.. they will be dark years.. and eventually.. this knowledge.. the growth that those who act like animals will seek to oppress will sprout up.. and yes.. I truly believe the world will look at itself.. and decide to put it behind us. Perhaps they will realize.. whether God instigated it himself or not.. ‘Hey.. we did this to ourselves’. There is nothing like getting past denial… and right now.. thats what we are in. Some of us deny that this would happen.. some deny that we are animals.. still some deny that knowledge is important, choosing to see it as a weakness… but soon.. very soon.. the sides will be chosen.. the lines drawn.. and those that are left standing.. will get to test their ideas out as to how mankind should progress.. and in the end, I’m sure.. they will all come to the conclusion.. that we all were wrong.. we killed ourselves with narrow-mindedness and harsh words.

But after all.. can you blame us.. the time before the cataclysm was a dark period. Yes.. in the end, I propose the philosophers will point to Us.. before the apocalypse and say ‘The pre Apocalyptic society was the society of animals… where knowledge was unappreciated and monotony was Lord.. where hope and kindness had no place… they were truly savages.’
