I am a teenager, a high-schooler, and I can’t help but notice the complete lack of respect and dicipline that surrounds my generation. Our attitude to war is sad, our attitude to authority is nil, and our attitude just reeks.
My generation knows nothing of war. Our general knowledge of war is the Persian Gulf conflict. That war lasted all of 6 months, and our side suffered only 300 or so casualties. The Iraquis were, on the other hand, slaughtered. So, we think war is easy, and quick, not realizing that if chemical weapons will be quick, but may kill us all.
We have no respect for authority. We call our teachers derrogatory terms in thier faces. We don’t care for authority. This may be our downfall.
All in all, my generation’s overall attitude will cause our doom.
