From where I stand as an atheist

From where I stand as an atheist (and I mean that) the apocalypse will not be the traditional biblical scene nor will it be preceeded by the seven signs of the apocalypse as laid out by the Bible. In my view the apocalypse will be brought on by the innate stupidity which is apparent in all gathered masses of humanity. So when eventually will the apocalypse occur? I cannot claim to give an exact date or even make a guess but I will tell you how we can tell when it is coming. First; when the masses of Asia and Africa are turned way by the west and when third world countries and the impoverished are refused even the very minimal amount of aid they now receive. Second; when the industrial world led by the U.S. begins to care more about their economys then the environment. And lastly, when the pursuit of scientific and cultural advance slows and begins to decline we will know our civilization is ending. Sorry if you expected seas of blood or big huge explosions but this is how it will happen.
