In the end, we will be responsible for our own demise.
I am a pretty down to earth person, but I believe in god and he gave us free will, which will ultimately be our undoing, well have no one to blame but ourselves. Perhaps it wont be in our time, but in our childrens, or their childrens, or it could happen tommorow.
You need to live with the confidence that theres life after death, and depending how you live your life here will determine your life there, youve only got once chance my friends..so please, dont blow it.
If were even around when it happens, and lucky enough to survive, do all you can to spread your knowledge of the way the world around you works. It would be valuable beyond words to the children of the post-apocolypse.

Im interested in the apocalypse. i keep having dreams about the end of the world, could you give me more info? or links.
thanks, Rhiannon
rhiannon-There is so much to tell, starting with the rapture of the church which can be any time soon!and just there after is the seven years of tribulation. The deception begins in Revelation-chapter 6, where it speaks about the antichrist going forth to conquer : A very good cross reference to this would be found in 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 where it tells how the people will believe a lie because they did not receive the love of the truth which is God’s Word (Jesus Christ)and so those people will receive the mark of the beast as stated in Revelation-13:14-18. I’m so sorry that I can’t finish all of this because threre is to much to tell feel free to write me at danacanoutas@bellsouth.net
Dana if the end of the world happens it’s not going to have anything to do with the bible. Just humans own stupidity or some freak accident, can you actually look at life in the world today and find God in it no. Bad things happen to people who don’t deserve it and vice versa open your eyes.
D-UNIT, the world will come to an end BECAUSE IT WAS FORETOLD IN THE BIBLE. God is there man, whether you can see Him or no.
well you know what they say, the earth dies screaming
Assumming that the Bible writings are true..
Would I be willing to give up my own free will in order to escape the Apocalypse? No. I would not. Free will is the only thing that makes me human, not a servant. If that means that I will receive the ‘mark of the beast’ on my forehead and burn in Hell for all eternity, so be it. Better to burn in Hell than to serve in Heaven. I may be wrong, but wasn’t God trying to make Adam and Eve His – well, slaves – when He forbid them to know themselves? But they did eat the apple, and became aware of them as human beings. Thus He punished them, making them mortal. I am not and will not be anyone’s slave, not even God’s. So if my free will is my own demise, then I accept it as such. No regrets on that part.
I used to get hung up on the idea that if there was a God, why did bad things happen to good people and vise versa- as you said. God expects us to grow through our trials, and He knows what he is doing. There is such a thing as free will, and this has a hand in the bad things. There is also such thing as evil, and satan and his demons exist to cause suffering and tragedy in an attempt to steal God’s children. When refusing to believe God exists or cares because bad things happen to good people, we allow satan to win. I pray for all of you that God’s light will remove the blinders from your eyes so that you may live the rest of your lives in the peace of having faith.
Please don’t pray for me. It is my free will.
And if there really are blinders in my eyes, I don’t think I want them removed.
“Damien” – You seem to believe that the terms “servant” and “slave” are interchangable. They aren’t. There are many willing servants, but few willing slaves. One can serve freely, exercising their free will to do so. People who love God serve God out of love.
Didn’t you ever serve anyone out of love? Your parents? Grandparents? If so, in this servitude, did you feel you were no longer able to exercise your free will? I doubt it.
When one chooses to serve, they are exercising their free will (they freely and willingly serve.)
God didn’t forbid Adam and Eve from eating the apple so they “wouldn’t know themselves (as human beings).” They knew they were human beings, with free will. That’s why they were able to choose to disobey God. God forbid them from eating the apple as a test of their obedience. They willingly chose to do the one thing God asked them not to do. They always had free will. However, after eating the apple they no longer had their innocence.
You are right in that to be human, one must be able to exercise free will. Man chose sin. The world has suffered ever since. Those who see this, freely and willingly renounce their disobedience in order to be made right with God.
You are a human, not God-like. Adam and Eve wanted to be “like God”; that’s what they were told would happen if they disobeyed Him. It didn’t.
As a child, you often did what your parents told you to do, not because you lacked the free will to disobey, but because you understood your place in the parent/child relationship. You don’t give up your will when you choose to serve God. Instead, you acknowledge His wisdom and authority, and your relative lack thereof.
Everyone serves a master. If you serve only yourself, then you must be God’s equal. Are you really?
Man chose sin. The world has suffered ever since.—or is religion just a prefix as to why humans seem to suffer? i think to so blindly follow religion is silly, your all sheep.
“Servant” – as for my use of terms “servant” and “slave”, the misunderstanding probably origines from the fact that English is far from my native language, so I unconsciously and unwillingly make plenty of such mistakes. More English classes for me, then.
I admit that you do have a point. But when I was referring to “serve” in my above post, I was (due to the error you kindly brought to my attention) doing so strictly in the sense of “slavery”, which is my mistake. It could be a result of the way I was raised or something else, but I always considered religion a form of slavery, and still do. I don’t mean to insult or offend anyone – if you believe, it’s OK and I respect it. Faith should be all about love, not an obligation – but it’s hard for me to imagine such feelings for something so abstract and transcendent. Now it’s clear that I was talking about slavery.. Of course we’re all servants, we have to be in order to keep this sick blue pearl spinning.. But we don’t have to be slaves.
I stand corrected.
hey, damien, well since you already choose sin to be your god in your life, Good luck in hell. God Bless You. You said you wont regret it, well guess what, you will.
Just remember the decision you are making its in this life, and the consequences will be for the rest of the eternity.
Hope you change your mind.
damien, thanks for not being so bull headed that you refused to “stand corrected” really, it shows your not totally misled. However, you still refer to religion (of any kind, i’m assuming) as slavery. FYI no one forces anyone else to believe in something they don’t want to. And you’re proof of that.
I’ve believed in God all my life. And i’ve had times when i’ve questioned it. but anything and everything i do, and have ever done, for my God has been my choice. God is one of love, and because he loves us so much He GAVE us the free will you speak of. and he allows that free will to be practiced in his own church. christians don’t do anything because thay are “forced” to. they do it because they love God just as he loves us, and from that love we are drawn closser to Him, and because we are closer to Him, we desire… we LONG to do the things that are pleasing to him.
Just as a child longs to please his father or mother, that child is not forced to do the things which the parent knows is best for him/her, but he/she does it anyway.
i hope this and all the other comments help you in your search for the truth, because you are searching, or you never would have started this.
you are in my, and all my other brothers and sisters in Christ’s prayers. and we WILL pray.
If people that say there ready to accept hell could see the other side, they would change their mind when it happens. Here on earth NOW we have a degree of Gods protection that subconsciously gives us a sense of security. In hell that’s gone. I prayed over and over to God asking – Are demons the wicked dead? I guess He decided to show me. Demons impersonate the dead loved ones. To make a long story short in a dream from God I met one face to (well they don’t have faces) just a creature with the only emotion ( after their disguise is gone PURE HATE. Hell will be uncomprehendable and no body will be ready for what they will see no matter how hard core they think they are. The time is ahead where we better know God one on one because our faith will be tested with a test that only the spirit from God can discern and guide us through.
