First, the comet will hit the earth and everyone except a few of us will die. The rest of us will then loot all of the stores and drive away with tons of wonderful luxuries. We will live in the nicest apartments with the nicest furnishings and we will eat macaroni and cheese for almost every meal. I can’t wait.

i have done much reserch on this subject, all of your dreams are a reality. all signs point to the end of the world in 2012 im not exactly shure on the month and day but im shure we will know when it happens lol. from everything i have gathered it will eather be a comet or mars (dont ask about mars i have no idea how that one works exactly im only relaying the information provided to me). hell even NASA is prepareing for this (if you dont belive me look for yourself). all signs point to 2012=destuction of the world, i do not belive in god or any of that hocus pocus so i do not think that all of us will die. so if the world ends and there is only a few that survive i only hope that i am one of those few also i hope that there will be water left becuse if im alive and there is water i think i may be able to atleast bring back the electric and from there we can rebild civization with a little luck of corse

I have had many a dream of the world ending and have come to the conclusion that it will……eventually.
The world ending within the next thirty years is highly probable, i have read several accounts by NASA that show that the earth will either be hit by a comet/asteroid of some kind, or the effects of mankind on the earth will ultimately make our home planet give up on us. The theory is that the planet will have finally had enough of it’s “parasites” and simply heat up to an unbearable heat and kill us all.
For me this theory scares the shit out of me, and if it happens i sure hope i’m sitting in a freezer. lol

ok, i don’t really know much about the end of the world and all that bs but i do have a theory. i think, because of the temperature rising every year, that we (maybe not we) will burn and die because the temperature will get so hot it will be unbearable. and all the ice caps will melt and there will bhe much water but because of the increase in temperature the oceans will be close to boiling like they were a long long time ago.

I strongly believe that this earth is doomed. Look at the people around you ; there is too much sin and corruption already, plus the wars going on. I think that god and mother earth has had enough and we are killing ourselves. Just stop in your tracks and repent from sin. I just found this site after watching something on the history channel about the bible code, and it claims in 2012 a earth killer is going to hit. However before that in 2006 there is supposed to be a minor impact, and in 2010 a killer earth quake in CA. I also looked at a site that backed up the predictions, however from another side, Sylvia Browne, a renowned psychic says none of this is true, and that there will be minor conflicts with the middle east, but no big disasters or catostrophic events. It just depends on what you believe, however if there is a encounter with a comet in 2006 and an earthquake in 2010 in CA, I am moving my butt to high ground to the rocky mountains where I’d be safe from the tidal waves, since one of the impacts is going to cause tidals. And if you watched Deep Impact, Armageddon, or that special on discovery, just a quartermile rock has as much destructive power as a nucluear bomb going off every second for 13 years, so detonate something like that under the ocean, all at once, and you can imagine the half mile tidals they believe would happen if a big rock hit the ocean. Get to the mountains, build a shelter, get lots of MRE (Meal Ready to Eat rations) to last you afew years, and just live in a hole in the rockies till its over. MRE’s are army rations, packed in a 1 pound package, vacuum packed, and can last 10 years. And they provide 5000 calories. When I toured the Indiantown GAP in PA, they gave out some free samples, and you could probably purchase them from military surpluss stores. I am probably just rambling, but thought I’d post something here about information I know. You can get more info by going to yahoo and typing Comet+2012 in the search engine, various bible code sites, prediction sites, and sites related to what nasa believes just to be a close shave with a comet in 2012, thats the year they want to land some sort of probe on it to research its nucleus and material makeup. Its either believe in the bible code, sylvia browne, what the government says, or what you think is going to happen.

I believe several of you people on here and i believe a comet will hit earth in 2012. i know somebosy and a dude are the same person but you are in for some serious hurt if you dont believe something is going to happen. Why would there be sooo much eveidence of someting happing in 2012 if there really wasnt anything going to happen? I would be ready if i were you, no man knows the hour and no man knows the day. But i think 2012 is getting closer and closer to an accurate date of when the world will end!

There is very little evidence to point to a near future meteor collision with earth.
Well, at least not much evidence for such an even which is available to the public.
Ok, yes, there is much speculation, and with this many predictions all pointing to an event happening in 2012, it sure as hell warrants some research into the matter.
However, I see no reason whatsoever to panic. If Nasa/the government/UN and/or multiple other organizations start to be secretive abou this subject T minus 2 years, then that would probably be a good cause to run to the hills, as one might say.
But people, mass paranoia seems to be the norm in this place, and many seem to confuse fact with possibility, speculation for evidence, and so on and so forth.
Also, since many, if not most, seem to be christian, then why the heck are you listening to some ancient Aztec and Mayan prophecies?
I’ll tell you why: You’re all salad-bar christians, I tell you. The whole lot of you.

I totally agree with Karma Police on this one. We are living in a hell caused by us. We are responsible for the mess we made. I wouldn’t be surprised if mother earth did decide to “shed her skin” off for some new skin. It’s something that we just have to accept. Look at Atlantis and Lemuria, they’re out of sight until some drastic changes happen to us. It could be a lot of different ways it will happen, maybe a comet, maybe a polar tilt. Whatever it is, it will happen.

You are all wasting your time with these prophesies. There is nothing in the Bible mentioning the year 2012. “…no one know the day or the hour..” Even Jesus doesn’t know; he’s waiting for a sign from his dad, God (you know, the one that created earth and has a vested interest in it’s safety). Would you let your kids get hit by a truck if you could stop it? Of course not! Neither will God let anything happen to his children.
This site has given way to mass paranoia. If there is actual evidence from accredited astronomers (not astrologers), post it along with their and your credentials on the site. Otherwise, stop trying to incite panic. I was researching the Manhattan Project and came across this site, and it has pissed me off in a major way. There is no knowledge here, only rumors started by the fearful, ignorant, and/or malicious. Humans naturally fear the unknown, but the key to survival is to conquer that fear and move on, not make up stories about what could happen.

First of all the Extinction of the dinousaur theory has never been fully proven.All we know for now is that supposedly a huge asteriod hit the earth about 65 million years ago.There are many specualtions as to how the dinosaurs died.It may well have been environmental changes that killed off the dinosaurs,like volcanos etc etc etc,Secondaly if an asteriod of huge size was on course for the earth NASA wouldnt be able to stop it.1.You’d need to place explosives in the core of an asteriod to blow it apart meaning theyd have to get astronauts to actually land on the asteriod.Drill into the core of it and place explosives(like the movie Armageddon
).Chances of NASA actually achieving something as difficult as that are slim.2/theres no point in shooting rockets at it cause it would just hit the surface having no effect(ie,blowing bits off it)and there would be a large amount left to enter the atmosphere and cause massive damage.Finally the bibal theorys about the world ending in 2012 are a joke.We hear the same thing every few years.(Oh the world is going to end on this date or that date or w/e date/)hasnt happened for millions of years so why the f*** would anyone believe it would now.Like someone posted earlier Id be more concerned about what humans are doing to the environment than an asteriod hitting earth.And besides the earth has been hit many times in the past.Didnt destroy it then so its not gonna happen anytime soon.Personally I have better things to worry about like paying bills.work.etc etc..than the world ending…if it ends it ends.nothing we can do about it .

you guys are all idiots, a comet has hit Jupiter 23 years ago, and the imprint the comet left on the atmosphere of the Jupiter was 32 times bigger than that of Earth, so if a comet was to hit which is unlikely because a comet is drawn in to the gravitational field of the sun, while the Earth’s gravitational working against the Sun’s gravitational force will repel the comet, but if the comet was to hit Earth then Earth would be pulvarized, with nothing but remnants of dust and echoes…

I have a powerful telescope hooked up to the pc and I can tell you, that my telescope has picked up 2 comets on a collison course with the earth in 2006 I can tell you these are not to be fucked with or ignored, See if Nasa doesnt do something we are all fucked, My Pc has picked up the readings for the 2 comets and both readings tell you that the 2 comets are heading towards earth in 2006 the bigger one is behind the first one it is half the size of the Moon and for those who do not believe in this i wish them all the best, The first comet is to hit Jerusalem on 3rd of August 2006 the bigger one is to hit on the 16th of September. and yes i Believe there are more comets to hit in 2012 Do you people not think that Nasa is costing your lives by not telling the public, do u not think the public as a right to know.

RELAX PEOPLE. It’s just the end of the world. Bear in mind the world comes to an end every day for someone somewhere. Sometimes the end comes to thousands at a time and sometimes just to individuals in their sleep or behind the wheels of their cars but it comes. Do I think the end is nigh? Yea, verily. I welcome it. Humanity has made a terrible mess of this planet and we deserve to be swept from this little blue jewel. It will not mean the end of life, just the end of ours.
How, when or where doesn’t worry me, my only concerns are what I’m doing with my life in the meantime and how I will fare in the next world.

First of all, i would like to say its now 2005, i havent made much research on the 2012 issue, but there are many things i want to say…

I’ve been researching in all this, and i’ve found that all things are hooking together. Mayan predictions say that December 2012 is the “the day” but for what I understand it’s not the final day… it’s a day when everything wil lchange. In fact they also predcit that comet coming. However they say, it will finally unite us all as mankind. We will finally work together like brothers and fight against this comet. It talks about evil coming to an end.(check the 7 mayan prophecies) The Bible Code, which has mathematical backup prevents us from this 2012 comet too, and I myself believe in all this. I have my reasons to believe. 2006 will be a clue year in which things will start to happen, and that is when people wil lstart accepting what is going to come. It is going to be chaos, yes. But I assure you one thing: In the end, it will be for good. We’ve been so lost in this world, busy on our earthly lives, we don’t even bother with the spiritual anymore. This will be hard times, be sure of that, but don’t take it the wrong way and the chaotic way. Always follow good and God will be with you. After all, if you follow God’s word, what do you fear? Abandon yourself into God, trust him, and just be loving and helping to mankind.

Notice this it had a 1SECOND launch window…why would u waste millions of dollars of eqip. and manpower on something that would FAIL COMPLETLELY unless completed in a 1 sec launch window…how did the senate approve that better WHY??? did they approve that. My God. Even if some of you people had done all of the research you claim to, your grammar and spelling are so bad that nobody could ever take you seriously! I mean it is honestly atrocious. That being said, I honestly believe that a comet/asteroid/meteor hitting earth is not a probability but an actuality. The real question is when. Every (and I can’t cite where I read this, or even if the number is exactly right) four to five thousand years a rather large piece of space material hits earth, and it isn’t that hard to understand considering there is so much debree out there. Either way, if NASA can stop it, good. If they can’t, well then it’s better to have lived during the period between now and then, rather than freak out about it the whole time. And you should be trying to be a good person without all of this religious or cosmic pressure. It shouldn’t take a comet to make you realize that.

Sure, you’ve done a lot of research on the subject, you’ve calculated orbital elements of Earth and the ‘object’, and you still can’t tell the simple difference between asteroids, comets and meteors that even the youngest, most inexperienced astronomers know by heart? Where do all these stupid people come from?
And of course a nuke would detonate in space. There’s no doubt about that. However it would do very little damage to such a massive target. Remember that most of the nuclear bomb effects are surface-based and greatly affected by the atmosphere - I mean, the sort of destructive force humans are vulnerable to. In space, there’s nothing but blast and heat, and though they’re extremely powerful, the mass of an Earth-killer is too big even for nukes to deal with.

I believe that God, our father exists. I have found peace in his word and the bible. I have read through the comments posted, and I don’t put anyone down for having curiousity and concern for the future. However, God sent his son so that we should not have to worry about such things. The bible says not to fear the death of the body but the death of the spirit. We all will die, it does not matter when or how. Instead of focusing so much energy on the “when or how”, why not think of ways to save your spirit?

A believer, I agree with you about the death of spirit. But I think we’re talking about a different kind of it. My idea of spirit is the ‘lifeforce’, or the internal will of an individual that keeps pushing him forward through obstacles (often even authorities) and defeats, with the sole purpose of reaching the victorious end which may be whatever an individual sets as the goal of his life. I can not see how that kind of spirit can be ’saved’.
But I am not a religious man and there are likely to be many ‘questions of faith’ I don’t comprehend. From my point of view down here on Earth, it seems foolish to put your life into the hands of the supreme being and wait for the descent of a saviour to save your soul. I’d rather put my life into my own hands and fight for it myself, and that goes for the soul as well. What is a soul, anyway? Can anyone really answer that? I think not.

I lot of you people say you’ve been doing ‘personal research’ on the 2012 meteor and how it’s gonna hit us, and while I don’t agree or disagree either way, almost everyone on here can’t even spell or puntuate correctly, which leads to believe no one’s responding but a bunch of kids, so that kind of eases me a little bit.

Hmm….you brought up a good point there. It seams to me that most people on this site just like that stupid asteroid theory more than anything. Most people here are kids anyways so it’s quite understandable to me. But wouldn’t we die from global fallout more then anything? Anyways, you say that if one hits it would like cancel out any other prophecies. I’d disagree. Just take in mind all the events of are end. God said himself that it will be such an event that one wouldn’t be able to see the hole picture. Personaly I got an eye for this sorta thing. I got soo much info that anything I see here just cracks me up! Not to let anyone down but in order to even start talking Apocalypse, you HAVE to no your Bible research. Interesting thoughts abound…but what about belief itself? What if it’s all just programming from a pre-planned structure? A manufactured plan, etc. I noticed something the other day which led me to this site…I never knew there was possibly a comet warning along these dates, but it doesn’t surprise me…FEAR is rampant and a good control device, etc. I’m wondering if Lady Di didn’t die because everybody kept calling her and saying “Lady Di…”? Odd, isn’t it, the correlations of the ‘information’ of our lives and what we choose to regard and disregard…but one thing is for absiolute certain…coincidences DO mean something indeed. However, maybe all should just take a bit of time off ww and sit and think and actually talk all the bs out, and org. man and woman power towards an effort such as preventing something like this = like if it’s a comet, etc., what about heating it up with a space mirror/satellite and using solar radiation to help push it out of the way, etc.? Just amplify the natural state and effectiveness of things…and who cares how much GAS it costs, lol! Are scientists dumb or something? Professionals, gotta love them, after all…they built the TITANIC, haha! Anyhow, things don’t HAVE to happen, there’s something called free choice~~~along with the natural instinct to survive, etc., and the question IS — what can we and what are we willing to do about it, collectively as a species and guardians of all on this sphere if this should turn out to be correct information? “Civil”-ization, that word cracks me up…but we can do it if we must I admire to believe because we’re at our very best when things are at their very worst. Eveyone needs to stop worrying about the end of the world. its going to happen weather we like it or not. theres a super volcano on yellowstone national park that could erupt at any second of any hour. ther are hundreds af astroids heading for earth, and there will be more ice ages, we cant stop it. the end of the world is totaly out of our control and theres nothing we can do to stop it. Stop being such pussys about dieing and just accept that we are only a blimish in time compared to all the trillions and trillions of yerars that have already passed in the blink of an eye. Look at it this way just yesterday you were born and tommorrow you will die there is only a today. life will go on in some way, or another.

you know, there is a lot of talk of the mayan/aztec calendar indicating the end of the world. however, one fact makes me disbelieve that angle. the mayan and aztec cultures were destroyed by the conquistodors, so much of the information of their society has passed through the hands of their conquerers, so who knows if its true? the same goes for the bible- it was writtnn by a guy NOBODY ever knew! how would you know if its a credible resource? by faith? don’t you feel a little naive to believe that book actually contains hard facts? facts are usually proven by observation, not faith because that would be a contradiction! please have sense to recognise that very much of the bible is just a story. also recognise that if there really is a god, it will understand if you were essentially a good soul and not damn you to hellfire if you don’t pledge alleigence to jesus.(just a man, after all.) oh, and this whole jesus thing…if he performed all these miracles, how come no one ever made a sculpture, painting or even a friggin’ sketch of the display? some things just don’t add up. as for the end of the world, just about every generation has there own “prophecy”, so lets all chill, share in the groove, and pack a bowl.

IF A COMET HITS THE WORLD, EVERYONE WILL DIE DONT THINK SOME SPECIAL PPL R GOING TO LIVE U IDIOTS. u DONT KNOW THE STRENGTH OF A COMET ONCE IT HITS THE EARTH THERE WILL BE NOTHING EVERYONE WILL DIE AND THERE WONT BE ANY ELECTRICITY FOOD OR WATER THERE WILL BE AN ICEAGE AND EVERYTHING WILL BE FROZEN.aFTER MILLIONS OF YEARS THE ICES WILL MELT AND WHO KNOWS GOD MIGHT MAKE PPL AGAIN. SCIENTISTS SAY THERE WILL BE A COMET HITTING THE EARTH IN 2061 SO GET READY ALL OF U LOSERS.

comets are very small , and are a huge blob of ice and dust particles zooming through space as we speak. but not all comets are small , infact the most common comets known to scientists and human kinds are huge , by by huge i mean like 6times bigger than earth. so when one comes to hit us we will most likly our earth will shatter. people say “( imagine a dumb fat guy saying this lol ) o why cant it burn up in our trusty atmoposphere………duh….*cough*……*bites of pizza slice*……….*snezes…… “So why dosent?……..*farts*” well guess what my oversized large bud? it will burn up since its dust and ice , but stop right there if your brain is saying ” oh yea we will survive !” not all of it , infact that bigger than us 6 times bigger blob of dust will still crash onto us melting only a little :’(
