Light formed into an upside down rainbow and then into a ring

I had a dream while I was in college - around 1992 or so

While it was raining one day - I was working and came home - It was raining hard when I noticed some people looking at the sky - I turned to look and noticed the rain began to stop and a bright white light formed into an upside down rainbow and then into a ring - the clouds inside became pitch and formed images where the white light shined through - pictures of an evil being breathing fire - and pictures of faces. After the picturres stopped the circle unfolded and it continued raining - I knew at that point in my dream it was the apocolypse - the end of the world - I asked my brother-in-law and my parents if they had seen it. They had -My brother-in-law was not disturbed about it - Many thoughts ran through my head about what I had not done.

Thoughts of not seeing relatives and thoughts of not making love - I knew I had to do these things before the end came - my life has not been meeningless, yet I wished I had done more - Gone to Alaska.

In the beginning of this dream I was working - Teaching an oriental how to drive - This person could not drive - he continually oversteered and ran off the road - into ditches, scraping buildings - the other student was helping me keep control of the car - He would not stop unless you said break. The side of the car was scraped and damged. I took the car home and noticed my sister outside and talked to her about the car. During this point I noticed some people that came over to look at our house to buy - My stepdad kept telling them the house across the alley had a large amount of storage space - to the fact he did not want to sell the house - the people looking at the house also saw the sky.

You are not even talking about the rainbow…

Why do you think this is apocalyptic sign, the upside down rainbow. Last week (1st week in Jan 03) I was at a small park with my 3 sons, and a lady and her son was there. My 6 year old told me to look up at the rainbow. Yes, it was an upside down rainbow. I could not believe it. I knew I’d never seen one before, but there must be some explaination for it. I looked it up on the net and it was not a cornea as one site said it must be. It was a rainbow and the ends pointed up. Then it quickly disappeared, like rainbows do. I do believe in signs…but where do you get this one, or is it just your “dream”?

In 1988 I also saw a upside down rainbow above my house. No one believed me and thought I was nuts. I was talking to some friends today about it and they reacted the same.

My mother recently informed me that she has seen an upside down rainbow on Two occasions. Both happened to be shortly after the death of a father-in-law, and again after her mother passing away. She has not seen one since and believes it to be a sign that they’re alright.

On 9/24/04 I saw an upsidedown rainbow or a (circumzential curve) with my 3 young children. I rushed to get my camera and was able to photograph it.Like many of you I was recieved with disbelief and have since learned the origins of such a phenomena. It is formed by many small pencil shaped frozen crystals high in the atmospere reflecting the suns light

On April 11,2003, our children were hosting a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for us with a shrimp boil in our backyard. When I walked outside and looked up, there was an upside down rainbow. We felt it quite appropriate for the festivity. Fortunately, I had the camera at the ready and took a picture of it. What causes them ?

I saw the upside down rainbow as well. My friend told me about it and I didn’t believe her, we just met up outside the park. She took me to see it and I nearly fainted, an upside down rainbow?!?

    Hello,
I would just like to point out that it is a simple natural phenomenon and not some strange sign. The reason it’s so rare is because usually this combination doesn’t happen very often in nature. From this page - http://www.livingwilderness.com/patterns/czarc.html - I was able to find an explanation.
« This upside down rainbow is actually a circumzenithal arc, the brightest and most vibrant of all the solar arcs. The arc is formed when the sun is relatively low on the horizon and shines into a layer of ice crystals high in the sky. The circumzenithal arc forms directly overhead. The trees on Cougar Mountain near Bellevue, Washington appear to lean because the camera is pointed straight up. »
The page also has a very nice picture of such a rainbow.

My sister and I recently saw an upside down rainbow. We were at our mother’s grave, on the 8th anniversary of her death. We were talking about her death, and questioning our judgements on the decisions we made in those last weeks, and all of a sudden, there it was…..the upside down rainbow. I read the scientific explanation, but it doesn’t apply to this, because the sun was above the rainbow, not below it. It looked like my mom was smiling down at us, and letting us know that we made the right decisions.

Just the other day my family saw an two upside-down rainbows at the same time. We were driving in the car, and we had our camera with us. We took several pictures, three or four of them showing the uppermost rainbow as a ring around the sun. The other one was just like a normal rainbow, stretching from one end of the sky to another. I don’t know what to think! I think the scientific thing makes sense, but I would also like to believe that there is something more. No one in our family has passed away recently, but a family friend’s mother-in-law did. Hmmmmmmm… I feel blessed to have seen this wonderful phenomenon!

Today, at work, I saw an upside down rainbow. And I believe it is a sign from God.

This is the second time I saw an upside-down rainbow. The first time I saw it was on 1/5/06. Today, 1/15/06, I saw it a second time. I believe it is a sign of the times. Very apocalyptic. Jesus warned us that in the last days, there will be sign and wonders in the sky. There’s a strange phenomenon here.
