Our local star, Sol, is in the stellar main sequence. That means it has only about 5 x 10^9 years left. Well before that our sun will become a red giant and the inner planets will be toast. Humanity really needs to get off this dirt-ball if we are to survive. Last person off the planet, please shut off the lights and cancel the newspaper delivery. See ya out in space… buck

Yes, its pretty humorous…the ending. If you believe in G-d’s bible then the timing for earth’s existance is wrong. Check it up yourself.

this is an factual eventuality. The sun may not expand great enough to reach the earth, but it will still destroy the planet. There is no where for the human race to go when this happens. Everyone should stop telling me to recycle, and “save the planet” because no one can save the planet. Do we really think that saving the snail darter will help endangered species. I garentee if we try to go to another planet to ensure the safty and survival of the human race, the spotting owl isn’t making the trip. Envriomentalists, wake up. You’re all dead and you dont even know it.

I would like to know where you got the word Buck from. That word once appeared as a name in a vision I had, the vision it self was inappropriate to everything, but I felt the name meant something. Ever since I have been using that word/name in computer and video games about existance, space, etc. I felt that’s where the name belonged - in a story of creation.

just because the sun is going to die in 5 billion years doesnt mean recycling is a waste of your time, you are going to die in 40 years, but its still important to keep your home neat n tidy, what will the neighbours think?

Soon sex and even going to the bathroom will be obsolete as human functioning is made more robotic? Our brains may be programmed and we will never know that it was done!!!!

I assure you, there is no reason to worry about the sun dying. Thats schedualed for several billion years away. Humanity has existed in its currently recognisable form for about a million years. By the time the sun dies humanity will:
1 - Have evolved beyond anything you could possible even consider to be human.
2 - Died out already. (…because of assholes who think theres no point in preserving the environment)
3 - Moved into different solar systems, galaxies, or even entire different planes of existence.
Do no under estimate what several billion years of evolution and technical development could achieve. If humanity lasts that long its quite possible we’ll have the ability to destroy the entire universe, create new stars, forge new dimensions, alter the laws of physics…
Get some perspective people…
