Glaciers would melt and cause a massive flood

Okay…I heard something today that in the year 2013, the North and South Poles are going to lie along the present day spot of the equator in reference to the sun due to the Earth’s two rotations (around it’s axis and the sun). If this occurs, the huge glaciers would melt and cause a massive flood, the same type that is the basis for the story of Noah in the Bible. All life as we know it would be destroyed. Happy New Year.

If that were to happen, there would be new ‘poles’ and those areas would freeze. Just like when it rains… There is no more water created, it has just moved locations. The same would be true with polar ice. What melts in one place, freezes in another. It comes back to the basic principle of “every action has an equal and opposite reaction”. It would just be a change in location of the frozen water… The world wouldnt flood. Water levels may rise, but not enought to cover all land and recreate the fictional story of Noah and the Arc.
