BOOM!!!
Hey thats how the universe began. If you haven’t already heard about the Big Bang, then you need to get out a little more often. Judt for a refresher here’s what happened. (i slept through to much of my physix class so don’t get all fussy if something ain’t right)
Once upon a time there was this dot. This dot was everything but it was nothing. This dot was an infinite amount of energy. One day the dot was feeling extremely constipated. It had been holding the universe in an area of space thats smaller than … well a dot. Finally, it couldn’t hold it in anymore and so it exploded, spewing energy in all directions. (think of the smell, WHOA! open a window) After less than a nano second, this energy has slowed down enough and converted matter. Then things happened and thats the big bang for ya.
Now the unfortunate end of the world, time and your precious Fluffy will come because of one side effect of the big bang. Gravity. Yes its a pain. Especially when it pulls your car into that other car. Anyways, theres a gravitational pull between all matter, it may be small but it exists. As the universe expands the gravity in between everything pulls on everything on the other side of it. (FYI, the universe isn’t flat, it a sphere. i created it so don’t question me) Now to simplify this for thos who can’t imagine infinite matter, imagine 4 balls (matter) conected by a bungee cord (gravity). now no matter how hard or which direction you push them, they will always come back together.
So thats the end of everything. the universe will expand until its reached its critical limit and then it will collapse back onto itself (sorta like my birthday cakes) crushing your every little bone.
And you thought that little cut hurt.

Nonesense. There is a finite amount of matter in the universe as far as science can tell, and I’d trust science far more than I’d trust a man that slept through physics class.
The latest theory says that not only is there not enough gravity to pull the universe back together, but the expansion is getting even faster.
