I have a very vivid and frightening dream about a flood that destroys all the surfaces of land on the planet. It happens suddenly, while I am at work (in a huge skyscraper). It wipes out the bottom floors, carrying everything from walls, people and furniture away in a giant tidal wave. Electrical fires are started, and people are electrocuted by simultaneous contact with the water and electrical wires. The building begins to fall in on itself, and I am clinging to part of the steel foundation, watching people drown and die and panic. The realization comes to me that this is the end — nothing can remain this way. How can we live above the water - with no solid ground beneath us?

I always knew my first child would be a boy.. Partly because of this reacurring “dream” that I’ve had since I was about 17, typically from 1-3 times a month. This takes place in California.
Basically in the dream the sky is dark with clouds, outlined in red, and lots of thunder and lightning.. I look down, and there’s a little boy, looking up at me frightened (he has brown hair and very blue eyes).. Turning around, I see a wave of water, but we’re no where near the ocean - in fact, there’s a mountain in front of us. . Slowly, wave after wave the Earth is covered in water. . With water almost at our feet, I take the boy’s hand and we calmly begin our journey to higher land.. I usually wake up after that.
For the first time, last night the dream changed up a bit.. and seemed vividly real. I was soo happy the phone rang and woke me up.
It was day time in this dream, and I was working in a tall building. I hear on the news what’s going on, that slowly the ocean is devouring more and more land, with every wave..
People are in utter panic.. Trampelling, not helping each other - all for themselves. At first I think “I’ll just stay here in this tall building until it stops” But then “What if it doesn’t” and finally “What am I thinking? What about my family and my 2 year old boy??!” So I leave, and haul over to my house using a pickup truck I found with a jet ski attached on the back, the driver mysteriously no where around. no one is home, but luckily the cell phones are still working.. . I go to my family. A lot happens now, we’re in a giant hotel for a while, just trying to prolong life for as long as we can - when we notice the water getting higher and higher and decide to leave. We decide to begin our journey towards a tall mountain, with as much food and water in reserve as we can carry. We find another vehicle, and drive seperately, following each other, but get seperated.. It’s once again, just my son and I.. Buildings are burning, water is everywhere and the truck will do us no good. No keys to the jet ski, so we start walking. Passing by a reporter, I hear him say “… AND IT SEEMS THE EARTH HAS ACTIVITED IT’S NATURAL DEFENSE FORCE, SO TO SAY.. DEVOURING EVERY PIECE OF DRY LAND WITH EVERY NEW WAVE THAT COMES CRASHING DOWN” ..
Finally night time comes.. Looking from a higher level, water is now nearly the size of the building I wanted to just hide away in (23 stories) and it’s only getting higher.. a red man.. or some red figure that just looked plain evil is using the water to stand, almost levitating.. He’s very tall, almost like a giant, and as he rises up taller and taller, has this look on it’s face.. I don’t know what to make of it.. Maybe it’s just a dream. . But sometimes I wish I wouldn’t have it anymore.
