None of them can say WHY they believe this
The apocalypse. The end of the world. Many people have proclaimed this to happen, and in most of our life times too. The year that is being called “The Year of the Apocalypse” is the year 2000. Either God is very good at numerology, or there is some ‘deeper’ meaning to setting this date. Maybe it’s just because it’s the new millenium. For whatever reason, 2000 is the set date.
There are many types of apocalypse that are being discussed at the moment. The astrologists are predicting that the lining up of the planets in the year 2000 will somehow affect the world. The more religious types are saying that Christ is coming back down to live on the Earth eternally (due to the “Revelations” chapter of the Bible). And even others are saying that World War 3 will end the world.
There are, of course, many more theories to do with the end of the world. I do not know where they started, or why, but they are here with us today. Most of my friends are firm believers in the destruction of the world, however, none of them can say WHY they believe this. Maybe there is no reason, maybe they are hoping for the end of the world, for whatever reason. But the fact remains, until you provide me with hard proof, that the world WILL end in the Year 2000, on any year, I shall remain skeptic.

ok so this is my outlook…christians have killed many people for not believing in “god” even though
they said the sungod-god of wind-that was not THE GOD…so they killed them like christ…in the dark ages this bloodshed was over “god” also—”GOD” feels this as ignorance…i feel god is a psychic being that gives what we see as miracles…it jus’ happens. no “physical” proof…but definate change
i used to live outta ego-feeling cool…now i live outta the buzz of compassion.GENUINE. my dreams and fears taught me to live outta love not ego.
that is apocalyptic to me.if everyone started doing that…it would be fun to drive. if you come from love and not ego at all times that is the only rule god needs to see cuz’ it covers all the
bases…the apocalyse is real but not physical-it is psychic. god knows we can destroy the earth and
all love on our own-the apocalyse is about stopping that…and as a mass live in commonground
all around. the only way to do is to be.be peace.

its 2004…world hasn’t ended yet and wont until God see’s fit. so much for your theory.
